Secrets — EP
Handel and Khoblac’s EP, “Secrets,” is a captivating voyage into the self that propels the Nigerian artist’s Afrobeat talent into intriguing new terrain.
“Now I feel like I’ve finally found myself”, Handel says

As the EP begins to take off, Handel’s guitars ring out in brilliant intensity. It’s a time of self-awareness and acknowledgement, but it’s also a moment of booming confidence, acceptance, and excitement: The beginning of a new chapter; the embracing of a new beginning; the open-mindedness to comfortably glide into the future. Secrets, which was released on August 6, 2021, is as dramatic as it is heart-on-sleeve genuine. Its sincere words are bolstered by a succession of captivating, emotionally charged sonics and soundscapes that fill the ears with cinematic images while also filling the heart with passion. Secrets grabs the attention of the unknown, trying to figure out what you’re feeling or trying to find the right words to express yourself so that others can experience what you’re saying. Khoblac is one of Africa’s most promising artists, known for his blend of hip hop, alternative R&B, and dancehall. Sam-Dike Oliver, popularly known as khoblac, is a Nigerian singer and composer. He formally began his music career at 17 when he released his debut song in November 2019. Handel, a native of Nigeria, has loved music since he was a child. Music is his love because of his knowledge of afrobeat, Afropop, and alternative music. Handel, born Emordi Akachukwu, is a multi-talented musician who began producing music at an early age while growing up in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, by playing several musical instruments such as the keyboard, guitar, and drums.
“Hearing the sound of any musical instrument has always made me feel at ease”, handel says
Tracklist of Secrets — EP
Your Love: The wonderfully light and bright EP opener “Your Love,” which sparkles via its guitar arpeggio, a buffet of backing harmonies and noises, and Khoblac’s own voice, kicks off this wayward, fragmented (but deceptively compact adventure. Handel says he selected this song to begin the EP “because it’s hopeful, in a manner,” and “Your Love” does certainly induce in those who listen an optimistic sense of promise and trust in love.
Secrets: The sensation that follows is magnificent and expansive. The delightful “Secrets” has some of the EP’s most joyful melodies, while its follow-up “Superstar” digs into reflection and nostalgia without losing his newfound optimism.
Superstar: Superstar is a song that everyone needs to hear and is incredibly relevant. It contains words of affirmation that should be repeated in our minds and in the minds of others around us. In order to look to the future, we must be certain of who we are as individuals so that nothing holds us back.Superstar is the driving force behind the entire EP and serves as its beating heart.
Manya: There is a nighttime vibe to Manya’s guitars and afrobeat drum pattern that’s quite different from the first three songs. A new segment of the EP is introduced, while the song shows the love that has been built up and is ready to be expressed. In words used, you can find ways to show your affection; saying them is essential.
All Over: All over is a song for everyone. This song, in my opinion, is a wonderful example of the combination of melodies and song genres. The tribal cry and synth melody was an afterthought that had to lead to the first kick of the song since there wouldn’t have been any other place for that opening melody. It simply felt perfect. That beginning may remind you of other tunes, but it is not that song.
Fighter: Fighter has a lot of character and was created via a lot of emotions. The guitars have a closing tune, similar to the finale of a movie. The instruments in the song were inspired solely by the emotions at the time. The songs also discuss the determination to battle for what you genuinely want, notwithstanding opposition. https://ffm.to/handelkhoblac_secrets
